{As we all know at night time the streets and main roads are usually provided with light poles to light the streets. However, we have never thought about how much energy is wasted, and the cost every night to keep the lights turned on in each city. Sometimes the lights are turned on and the street are empty, specially at certain hours before midnight till sunrise.
Within the technology development, a better resolution should be applied to save energy. Although solar systems is a great idea that’s been considered on certain roads, however a better resolution is to apply an activity sensor based on traffic flows. These sensors are provided to light the roads while being used, and shutdown when streets are inactive.
Street lights are provided with sensors used during sunset to light the streets, and shut off at sunrise. These sensors should be replaced with an inactivity sensor so save energy over time. Large building complexes are provided with the same idea in the corridors. While walking, the lights turns on, and shut off after a certain time “2-5 minutes” when no movement is taking place.}
