Please note that names and some other information in the report have been erased to protect the patient’s privacy.
II. Answer questions 1-3 (see below) about the report you have just read. Please make sure to indicate which question you are answering by including the question numbers — from 1 to 3 — and ideally the questions themselves with your responses. This is not an essay; rather, I simply want you to answer each question individually.
1. As you can see, the report includes several main sections, I to VII. Please describe briefly what each section is about and what purpose it serves/what kind of information it conveys.
2. What are the Receptive-Expressive Emergent Language Test, and the Goldman Fristoe Test of Articulation – Second Edition (GFTA-2) mentioned in the report (Google may help here)? Please explain in your own words.
3. Now please pay attention to how this report was written (e.g. the language/terminology used, clarity, organization). Please identify at least three features of this report that you found especially useful or effective as a reader and that you can apply to a similar report that you will at some point be expected to produce as an aspiring speech-language pathologist. In other words, what can you learn from how this report was written that you can apply to your own future report writing? If you are not a speech student, then answer this question from the perspective of an aspiring health professional or any other professional who will have to produce a formal report of some sort at some point (and trust me, you will!).
Word count is up to you.
III. Please also comment on two other participants’ postings, critique and give feedback.
